In our division Software Solutions at our sites in Freiburg or Villingen-Schwenningen, we seek to appoint as soon as possible for a R & D scientific research group leader or senior researcher (m/f/x) as
Group leader/Senior researcher (m/f/x) Interactive XR technologies
Your tasks
- research and development in augmented-, virtual- and mixed reality, in particular covering 3D- and 4D-modelling in interactive environments, behaviour simulation, applied artificial intelligence (AI), as well as Metaverse applications
- Develop and coordinate a group of researchers, including staff management, acquisition of research funding, scientific publications of research results in Human-Computer-Interaction and possibly medical AI & computer-based modelling
- definition of research themes and strategy, coordination of research project consortia
- integration into the scientific network of Hahn-Schickard and the University of Freiburg
- collaboration in cross-domain teams
Your profile
- Ph.D. in Human-Computer-Interaction, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or related disciplines; competence demonstrated by scientific publications and patents
- ideally scientific experience in the fields medicine, health, wellness or assisitive systems, including validation studies
- ideally experience in several of the following areas: Python, video-motion-capture, 4D-capture, as well as Digital Health Twin modelling or mobile app XR
- ideally experience in the management of research projects
- interest in applications and spin-offs
- creativity, initiative, team-oriented working style and entrepreneurial mindset
- excellent language skills in English and -if applicable- willingness to timely acquire the German language
